So today I turned 30....

So today I turned 30. Last night when I went to bed I expected to wake up.... different. I didnt, I still woke up to Supercalifragilistic,my own bad breath, the dog whining and the birds chirping. I felt... well the same as I did last night. 30 is a number I have always been affraid of. When I was young I could have swore to you I would be dead by 30.It was always something I just KNEW would happen. It didnt, here I am 30 years old. With the same man for the last 15 years of my life.2 great kids,a home, a garden,my own hair color: ) Yesterday I thought, ughhhh what have I done with my life so far and was feeling a little down. Then this morning I thought about it again...these are things I have done in the last 10 years... I'm kind of impressed with myself
1. Gave birth to my first and favorite son (18th bday) naturally
2. Gave birth to my first and favorite daughter (20thbday)
3. Gave a very deserving couple the family they wanted more that anything. (right before my 22nd bday)
4. Gave a mother and father the happy ending with their son they longed for. (25th bday)naturally & VBAC!
5. I have given my self shots!
6. I let Mr.Monkey Man give me shots: )
7.Gained 50 pounds...
8. Lost most of it. (ok thats a lie : ) )
9. Stood up for myself
10.Worked in a Funeral Home, something I always wanted to do.
11.on my 26th birthday, I embalmed an elderly lady.
12.Moved 1000 miles away from my family.
13. Drove a Limo
14. Drove a hearse ( I want one SO BAD!! )
15.Went camping with my very best friend and fell asleep in a lake : )
16. Went to Yosemite all alone on the train and bus.
17. Took my kids to the beach
18.Regretted moving away from family.
19 Praised God for giving me the strength to move away
20.Wondered why God has us here
21. Got a Tattoo
22. Pierced my tongue
23. Went to a Barn Dance
24. Flown in an airplaine
25. Driven on the 405 in LA during rushour traffic.
26. Lost 3 grandparents.
27. Met some great people.
28.Moved, 8 times.

NEW

New style of bloggin. New words. New me. I know that I havent blogged for a while, but I have been, well, feeling sorry for myself. Or as Burt would say A little down in the mouth eh? BUT that is changing RIGHT NOW!! I am new!!! Yahoo, I am totally coming off of our high from the weekend. I went and camped with the Prosser Farmgirls. I am so inspired!!
Lots has been going on, Monkey Man lost his job : ( I THOUGHT (for sure) I had a job around the corner. But it wasnt meant to be. And that is okay!! On to bigger and better. Somewhere he is happier and will be apprciated. Doesnt mean it isnt scary, but I dont need to know the details. Gods already got it mapped out.
So this weekend, lots of ladies went and camped at 4season Bed and Breakfast down in Prosser WA. Holy Schmoly! What a blast. We had a barn dance and got to listen to the smooth country voice of Zach Grooms and his base ( i think) player. They were both amazing. I got to watch , Heather, Grace, Rene, Karen and lots of other beautiful and talented ladies dance and sing and have the time of their lives. I was in awe of the bravery to dance their tushes off! I lived vicariously through them . I didnt dance, BUT I loved every minute of it. To see smiles of the fellow farmgirls was the best gift I could ever see, have or be privillaged to see. I got to reconnect with myself, with nature,God,farmgirls.
There was a lady there, who is the mother of a farmgirls, I think around 80. And watching her dance and laugh with her daughter was the most precious thing. A tall cowboy dancing with his daughters around the dance floor. The river rushing by, the fish jumping out of the water. And all the inside jokes. I will treasure them forever ladies. I hope to see you all soon. I thank God for all of you and the little things you have showed me.

Happy New Year!!

Well on the cusp of being 2010, I thought it would be appropriate to discuss NewYears resolutions. Last year mine were to be heathly, exercise more, cuss less.. I FAILED on all of them, this year I just want to be a better person.A kinder person. A blessing to someone..
So what are your "resolutions"? I would like to not have my feelings hurt so easily. We were at church on Sunday and the Pastor said something that really made me think. "It is as offensive to be offended than it is to offend." In other words dont pick up the offense. It is ultimately my choice to be offended or not.

School starts back on Monday : ( . I enjoy being home with the kids. They are getting stir crazy though. Popeye goes back to work..So do I.

Happy New Year blog world, be safe... See ya on the flip side.. See ya 2009!!

So I have these

Feetie pajamas. Autumn got them for me for christmas. We each opened 1 on Saturday. I love them, they keep me warm. A little too warm. And they make me nervous, what if I was just relaxing at home and the UPS guys came by, or the neighbor lady brought over cookies. How would I explain my jammies? They are perfect in size... they have Santa on my feet. But they make my butt look HUUUUUGE.........

Me

Betty Crocker

So on face-book a family member talked about the amazing dinner she made. Then she said but I didnt do the dishes: ) .

Made me wonder, did Betty Crocker do her dishes? Did Julia Childs do hers? I doubt Martha does hers.I love Martha,ALOT, but I highly doubt she does her own dishes. They are my enemy. I hate them. I had a dishwasher once. I bought it for myself. It was a portable one with a butcher block top. Loved it. When we moved there wasnt room. I want a dishwasher. Its on my remodel list for the house when we do the kitchen...

This is my dilema, is it REALLY helping if you husband DOES wash dishes occasionally? But when he doesnt wash ALL the dishes he will wash what he used at a meal, leaving everyone elses? I cooked the friggin meal, cant you wash the dishes? HuhMrMan?

Today I really want to stay home and work on Liams quilt. But Mr.Man has been cooped up in his office all alone.... so I am going to get him some lunch and hang out a while.

The weather has been really cold lately, like in the negatives. I think it is supposed to warm up and snow this weekend....Thats right.... warm up to snow
